19th Century Inventions
During the 1800s, many common people became inventors. An inventor is a person who devises some new process, appliance, machine, or article.
Life in the 19th Century
The most important influential inventor is Conrad Johanns Vanhootin. He invented cocoa butter. He changed the word by giving us somehting warm to drink. The reason i picked Conrad Johanns Vanhootin is because with put him there would be nothing warm to drink like hot chocolate and on the warm days you can drink chocolate milk.
ReplyDeleteThe reason he made it easy and fast to roast cocoa beans and make cocoa powder is because he made it easy and fast to make somthing warm to drink. If he didn't make something that delicious and warm there would be nothing warm to drink on the cold days.
Jesse w. reno is who created the escalator. because now we have 50 story building's with elevator's. Imagine if we didn't have any. Our legswill be sore or some one will faint. I thank him for making the elevator. Life will change in an quick second. most people in the world will have a leg problem. To me as an opinon. This is why I say Jesse W. Renos made a very important invention
ReplyDeleteThe inventor is Elias howe his invention was that he invented the sewing machine. i think Elis howe invention was important because i think his invention can help other people to wear clothes on their backs. It also important because Elias howe was awarded the first united states patient for a sewing machine using a lockstick design

The most influential inventer is davy humphry.The reason I picked him because he invented the first electric light.He is influential because if he did not invent the electric light Iwould not see any thing.AlsO I would not be seeing what Iwould be writing right now.If he would not make it we would stil be using candles for light.The invention changed the world by him putting things together to make people lives hilarious and relaxing. By him not havig to work with electric hr could electricute his self. Its hard to work with electric with wirers.He invented it in 1809.
ReplyDeleteThe most important influential inventor is Louis Braille because he made braille for blind people.I think that if louis braille didnt exist, blind people would of never learned how to read.Some blnd people use their 4 sense that they got left like smelling,touching,hearingand tasting.They also go to school to learn how to cook,and how to use their sense properly.

It changed the world because it gets things that people sail to the USA like the Chinese or Japanese and othe rplaces. Then, they make them better and send it back. THat is how it changes the world. ANother reason is that when we want to go somewhere across the ocean. THese are my reasons.

The most influential inventor is Henry Bell because I love steam boats. When I get into a steamboat, I get places faster. This invention was made in January 1812. Steamboats still exist. Scottish engineer was born in 1767. He received the ordinary education of a parish school. he was apprenticed to his uncle. a millwright, and, after qualifying himself as a shipmodeller.
ReplyDeletethe inventor that i chose was samuel finley morse.he invented the single wire telegrah system.i think he changed the world because he invent the first telephone.from 1837,samuel gave his invention his full focus.the first sent by the telegragh was:what hath god wrought".i think that this was inmportant because he invented a telephone.this was inmportant because people did not have to manually send a message,they just have to send a message on the phone.this is why i think he was the most effective inventor
ReplyDeleteTajaraye I think the most influenrial inventor was Thomas Alva Edison. The most influential inventor is because he invented the light bulb. The light bulb helps people see things in the dark at night. This invention is very help full to drivers at night when they need to see people walking on the streets. the light bulb stops people from having to use candle's to see things in the dark. This invention changed the world because without it their would be no light for people to see. also because at night their could be grown men walking down the street snatching children off the street.so this invention helped prevent a lot of things from happening to kids my age.

the most influential inventor is coenraad johannes van houten.He found a way to roast coca beans faster.He changed the world by makeing chocolatemore afforable . back in the day only rich people could buy it. He created a process that is used to turn roasted cocoa beans into cocoa powder. He created his invention to remove the bitter taste and make cocoa powder more water-soluble. Cocoa beans were ground into fine mass, which could then be mixed with milk to create a chocolate drink. so now we can make hot chocolate,chocolate candy.hollywood was inspired by chocolate in some movies.thats the most influential inventor to me.
ReplyDeleteI think the most important inventer from this section was Louis Braille. He invented Braille. It was like sheets of paper with many dots formed in diffrent was. Braille was very useful to blined people. It helped them read and understand and learn new things. It was invented around Janurary 1809. He must of been a smart man to come up with such a useful tool.
ReplyDeleteBraille hepled a lot of people all over the world even and is even still being used in the year 2009. Bline people that use public bathrooms feel on the sigh to know whitch bathroom to used. At some schools they even have it on classroom doors to tell whitch room it is. Brallie was a good invention and is still being used a over TODAY!!

Telephones are being used almost all around the world. Telephones are one of the most influential inventions. The telephones today as become part of our social life, part of our communication.
Alexander Graham would explore the realm of communications as wall engaged in great variety of scientific activities. This helped the U.S.A in many ways . Just imagine
us today, the telephone helped us. That way, we no longer need to go on the road to a far away place, taking three days of distance. Now using the help of Alexander & his invention, we don't do that any more. Now, we use the telephone to save us time.
Henry bell was the most influential inventor because he invented a steamboat in 1812 and it takes a lot of work to invent a steamboat. he knew people faced difficulty in traveling by water and a steamboat is also faster so people could get where they want to go faster than facing the difficulties by putting coal in the fire so that the ship can move and the ship will move slowly despite all the work the people are doing and the journey would take them a lot of days.
ReplyDeleteHenry bell changed the world by solving an invention of transportation since he made the steamboat the transportation through water seems more easier than a slow ship and it also made the world have more means of transportation and it also made it easier to the extent that where a slow ship can get to in 24 hours the steamboatcan get there in 20 hours so henry bell is the most influential inventor because he made transportation on the sea easier and faster.

ReplyDeletealexander graham bell invention lives on today.people are thankful for this invention. if theres an emergency its most likely that he/she will be helped because of a telephone. telephones solve lots of problems.someone got smart and exapanded on the idea of a telephone. they made a cell phone , its like a telephone just portable. a cell phone most likely protects you from emergencys because you can call the cops anytime, anywhere.

ReplyDeleteI think that alexander graham bell was inportant. He invented the telphone. he invented in 1876. it changed the world because if somebody get hurt thay can call the hostpital. it was invented so we can call from a long distance.
Louis Braille most influential inventor of the world. He changed the world forever. He invented a way for blind people to see and a way for blind people to be equal just like people who can see. He invented this at the age of 12 and at that age he crack a code called “night writing” that soldiers couldn’t even crack. That code of 12 dots that let soldiers share top secret information on the battlefield without speaking the code was hard for the solider but not for 12 year old Louis. He invented this in 1829.
ReplyDeleteDuring the whole inter-disciplinary project; to me, Thomas Edison was the most influential inventor of the 19th century. Thomas Alva Edison invented the light bulb in 1879. Along with two other inventors, he is very important in perfecting the light bulb. Although many people believe that the light bulb was created 50 years before Edison's 1879 invention, I feel Edison made a much more standard lighting system.
ReplyDeleteBefore this invention many people used candles to light up their houses. Using candles as a way of lighting one's house is not a smart or safe way to do this. With a carbon based filament Edison innovated a new way to light a place. This innovation gave way to the phenomenon of having a safer, longer, and brighter lighting system. This is why Edison, in my book, is the most influential inventor of the 19th.
A 19th century tool I would buy at a store would be a steel fire tool. It is good for perpareing the fire place and geting it stared. It would stop a lot of injuries from happening. Today it would be 20$ but back then it would be 80 cents. Igot this by 5.04*20 and thats how I got my answer. That my 19 century tool.
ReplyDeleteThe item I decided to choose was a 19th century ship. I decided to pick this item because it helps you travel across the sea and travel all around the world enjoy the view while you are sailing in the sea. Today is 21th century and many of those ships aren't much seen. Today we mostly use modern boats. A similar ship like that today cost like about 1000 thousand dollars.
ReplyDeleteBack in the 19th century in 1850 the same ship would cost much less. In order to figure out the price. You need to find out the rate of the deflation to determine the price from 1850 to todays year. So it would cost about 40 dollars.
